Comprehensive branding is the key to building and maintaining trust in service industries like heating, cooling, and plumbing.
Most calls made to a PHC (plumbing, heating, cooling) company are made under stress. A broken AC on the hottest day of the summer, a furnace that won’t kick on during the coldest night of the year, or broken pipes suddenly spewing water at any time!
When service is needed quickly, customers can’t take much time—if any—to research local service providers. Therefore, PHC companies must compete to be top-of-mind when homeowners need help on short notice. Memorable branding that people recognize in an instant will bring that company’s name to mind just as quickly.
Signco works with home service providers of all kinds to create cohesive branding that makes an impact across multiple marketing platforms. One of the team’s longest-standing partnerships is with the pros at Prime Comfort Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling.
Prime Comfort PHC
Over the course of a decade, what began as a six-employee service company in Shawnee, Kansas, has grown into an experienced team of more than 70 people serving the Kansas City metro.
President Matt Hugunin first began working with Signco in 2013. “My father had previously worked with Signco at other companies and had a great experience,” he says. “Signco had a strong reputation for high-quality work, which made the decision to work with them easy.”
Before becoming President of Prime Comfort, Hugunin worked for another PHC company in Kansas City, where he engaged Signco to wrap over 60 fleet vehicles. When he made the move to Prime Comfort, it only made sense to bring his partnership with Signco along, too.
Since Signco began working with Prime Comfort, the team has wrapped eight service vehicles and created sleek new storefront signage and window graphics at the company’s headquarters, handling everything from design to installation. Signco also designs and prints all of Prime Comfort’s plastic yard signs to advertise their services on a street-by-street basis after a job is completed.
“Our experience with Signco has always been excellent,” Hugunin adds. “Their communication throughout the entire process is outstanding and keeps everything running smoothly. We provide our logo, and they handle the rest. They definitely go above and beyond with everything they do.”
Why Signco?
Vehicle wraps, especially those for plumbing, heating, and cooling companies, must be carefully designed to not only fit a wide variety of vehicle types but also amplify the brand’s messaging and services. Clear communication between wrap designers and clients ensures that the goal of the wrap is understood and that realistic timelines are set.
A vehicle in the shop for a wrap is not on the road answering service calls and making money, and the wrap team knows how important it is to get that vehicle back out, so completing wraps quickly minimizes downtime. “From start to finish, Signco always keeps us well-informed every step of the way,” Hugunin says. “They typically turn a vehicle around in about a day, which is very efficient.”
Hugunin happily attests to the quality of Signco’s work.
“We are always extremely happy with the outcome and quality of every wrap completed by Signco,” he says. “The vehicles look great, and the wraps hold up very well over time. Their design work is excellent, and the installation quality is top-notch, which really sets them apart from the competition. We have never felt the need to look elsewhere.”
